Standards-based, content-first design writing keeps being some of the most durable advice going — because it doesn't depend on a specific tool or platform. The through-line: design decisions that hold up under real content, real constraints, and real accessibility needs outlast decisions optimised for a polished demo. For a junior, this is a good corrective to tool-chasing. You don't need the newest AI plugin to run a basic accessibility pass on a flow — colour contrast, focus order, alt text, form labelling. These are unglamorous, established methods, but they're also the kind of thing that quietly separates a competent junior from one still learning the ropes.
