Designer Fund's 2026 AI-in-Design report finds Claude now the most-used AI assistant among surveyed designers, ahead of ChatGPT. The bigger shift: designers are shipping real production code, not just mockups.

The second annual *AI in Design* report (Designer Fund + Foundation Capital) says the wall between 'design' and 'code' is thinning fast. One quote stuck with us: **"We use Figma as a scalpel now"** — Figma isn't the whole toolkit any more, it's one precise tool among many, alongside Claude and code-gen agents. The report also flags tool fatigue — one designer called it a "molting process," adapting to one workflow before the next arrives. This isn't hype-cycle chatter — it's usage data from working designers.
